Precision Tools: Stefan Zecha new Chairman VDMA Präzisionswerkzeuge

Stefan Zecha was elected chairman of the VDMA Precision Tools Association at its general meeting at Tegernsee. Gerhard Knienieder became Deputy Chairman.

Frankfurt, 28 June 2019 - "Strengthening smaller medium-sized companies is very close to my heart," said Stefan Zecha, newly elected Chairman of the VDMA Precision Tools Association on Friday.

Zecha is the managing owner of ZECHA Hartmetall-Werkzeugfabrikation GmbH with over 130 employees in Königsbach-Stein not far from Pforzheim and was elected chairman at the general meeting of the trade association at Tegernsee.

Gerhard Knienieder, Managing Director of EMUGE-Werk Richard Glimpel GmbH & Co KG from Lauf, became Deputy Chairman.

In his inaugural speech, Stefan Zecha thanked the trade association board members for the trust they place in him and his predecessor Lothar Horn, Managing Director of Hartmetall-Werkzeugfabrik Paul Horn GmbH, for his great commitment to the benefit of the industry in three terms since 2009. Zecha: "I come from a typical family-run medium-sized company and am looking forward to the opportunities that the position of Chairman entails".

The VDMA Präzisionswerkzeuge represents about 180 companies of the medium-sized manufacturers of cutting tools, clamping technology, press tools, fixtures, standard parts and moulds.
